Shingle Roofs
Shingles are primarily made of asphalt with a fiberglass scrim sheet reinforcement for strength and stability. They have ceramic granules of various colors embedded on the surface for reflection and appearance. The asphalt works as a repellent to water and also holds the granule surfacing in place. Manufacturer pro-rated warranties generally cover from 20-50 years.

Strip roofing shingles are usually the lightest weight asphalt roofing shingles available in the market. Built on a tough fiber glass base, each shingle provides resistance to blow-off and tearing. 3-Tab roofing shingles are used primarily as an economical solution for re-roofing a home.
Hi-Profile Dimensional Roofing Shingles
Hi-profile Dimensional Asphalt /Fiberglass Roofing Shingles are manufactured with additional tabs of shingles adhered to the top side of the shingle to provide a thicker and richer appearance. Hi-profile dimensional roofing shingles typically are heavier weight than 3-tab roofing shingles and usually have improved warranty protections, which can range from 30-years to Lifetime.
